CJG is delighted to present a selection of new and signature works from five gallery artists from our Frieze Los Angeles Viewing Room. Luke Butler will present a new work from his “In Color” painting series. Nancy Buchanan has a very ambitious new sculptural piece combining custom cut marble and a found antique television set. Narsiso Martinez has made three new works for the fair – two works on cardboard and one delicate work on canvas. We will show Erika Rothenberg’s iconic church signboard piece “America, A Shining Beacon to the World,” and we will introduce a breathtaking new portrait of fast-rising LA artist Alfonso Gonzalez, Jr. by Shizu Saldamando.
Frieze Viewing Room Los Angeles Edition will take place July 27 – August 1, 2021 and will run concurrently to the first-ever Gallery Weekend Los Angeles. The Viewing Room will feature 47 leading galleries from Los Angeles and across the globe, alongside a curated program of feature sections and collaborations. In addition, Frieze members and VIPs will have access to a tailored program of events, curator led-tours and artist studio visits, hosted virtually and in-person at galleries, institutions and arts spaces throughout Los Angeles.
